I just got back to Georgia from an alumni get-together in Arkansas. I
took the SC/TO, the FP and a bag of green beans, and did demonstrations
while roasting enough coffee to keep us going. (Resting? Yeah, maybe
30 minutes!) Lots of fun, and I think there'll be a convert or two from
the group. Lots of "Best coffee I ever drank" comments.
Anyhoo, what's not to like about the SC/TO? Roasts up to a pound of
beans, modifiable to manage a pre-determined roasting curve for those
anally inclined, cheap, portable, doesn't mask the cracks with
extraneous noise, and you can watch the beans while the magic happens.
