This goes out to the stovetop popcorn popper roasters.
I've been using an 8" candy thermometer to measure the air temperature in my
pot (because it was the cheapest option at the time), but I'm ready to move
to digital. I see Tom offers a digital (http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.roastkits.shtml),but I'm wondering if that
one works well with the stovetop method - any issues - any recommendations?
(I'm using an aluminum pot)

Hi Dan. I think the one you are referring to uses a thermocouple. I have
heard, although not yet used one myself, that the probe can lend to quite
the variations in temperature because it is uber sensitive IF you try to put
it into the bean mass. However for air temps it might work fine. I have
one from Sears, a craftsman, and am wanting to try it out as well. I'll
report back my findings.
