Pardon the noob question, but what is the "harvey order"... Having searched the Sweetmaria site, and reading this list for the last month, Ive seen several references, and see the option in shipping, but cannot find the details as to exactly what the harvey box is...... Thanks, Steve
You said it, Steve- "option in shipping". You can ship up to 12 pounds of beans only for a flate rate if you check "Hold for Harvey" on checkout from Sweet Maria's site. Wasn't I supposed to say that? -ro On 6/20/06, steve olock wrote: <Snip> -- "When the theme hits the bass, I dance the Jig!" - -Virgil Fox at the Mighty Wichita WurliTzer- 1976
You can also include some cotton coffee bean bags in your Harvey orders, which is nice. On 6/20/06, raymanowen wrote: <Snip>
"Hold for Harvey" is code for US Priority Mail Flat Rate. So if you don't live out west, shipments typically come a lot quicker. I live in Michigan. My harvey shipments get here in 2-3 days. UPS Ground took a week, maybe more. I can't remember exactly because I've been using Harvey since it was first offered and have never had a problem. Why the code word? Tom asked the homeroast list to try it out before he made it widely available on the website. Choose the shipping option on your order of "Customer Pickup - Hold for Harvey" Harvey by the way, is the name of the US postal carrier that picks up the packages. The one draw back is that Harvey is not insured (unless Tom is adding it) while UPS is insured to $100.
