Good article in the July/August Roast Magazine. For instance really appreciated and agree with his opinion that each component of a blend must be of the highest quality instead of blending to mask inferior coffees as some do. Checked and this particular article happens to be available online too.http://www.roastmagazine.com/currentissue/blendingtherules.htmlKona Konnaisseur miKe mcKoffee URL to Rosto mods, FrankenFormer, some recipes etc:http://mdmint.home.comcast.net/coffee/Rosto_mod.htmUltimately the quest for Koffee Nirvana is a solitary path. I saw that article online a couple days ago and thought it was interesting how the Panama coffees were used in some of the blends. Now, I don't think the any of the recently offered CoE Panama winners offered by SM are sensible for this given the cost, I have blended the Carmen Estate 1800+ and really liked the results: 50% Carmen Estate @ FC 30% Guat Huehue @ FC+ 20% Kenya Mchana @ C+ Really a nice blend that worked well as an iced coffee... drinking LOTS of iced coffee these days. cheers, ScoTTT miKe mcKoffee wrote: <Snip>
