Next try an open wok with something to stir it, no heatgun just your stove
(preferably gas) or outside with a fire burned down to coals wok balanced on
some rocks:-) Or another way just for fun try frying pan with no stirring
device only "chef toss" of the beans for stirring allowed, it's a kick and
yes it works.

In the IT trade we joke about something called a "Forehead Install",
where you create a software installation routine so simple that if the user
falls over and hits their head on the spacebar the software is installed
perfectly.

Well, today I experienced what has to be the coffee roasting
equivalent to the Forehead Install. Zara Haimo showed me how to do my first
Heat Gun / Dog Bowl coffee roast. It is literally stunningly simple, and
almost ridiculously inexpensive.

I've been roasting for several years, but always in closed
roasters; a Precision and now an iR2, and I've never felt as in-touch or in
control of a roast before. I can't remember when I was last able to
precisely hear 2nd crack!

So if anyone has never tried it, give it a shot. It makes roasting
fun again!

	Thanks, Zara!

	G'night all
