When added a touch to a sample of this 12qt pot of 6 different pepper scratch chili that be a simmerin' A/B taste test said no to that flavor layer. Alchemist will be happy to know that a very good flavor layer is fine ground roasted cacao instead of dark chocolate as some people use:-) Instead of a bit of sugar sweetness to balance heat I simply use fire roasted sweet bell peppers, oh guess that makes 7 not 6 different peppers! Guess how long it takes to cut up 9# of chuck steak into 1/2" cubes and finely mince a head (not clove) of garlic and dice 4 large onions and mincing the jalapenos (both green and smoked red) and the seranos and and and...geeze what some people go through for great taste! (and what a mess I made of the kitchen:-) But at day 5 rest this be one way jammin' sweet smooth smoky deep yet dancing lightly bright a bit fruity with a nice choco touch ristretto shot blend. Haven't pulled a normale yet:-) It actually wasn't bad added to the chili but didn't really do anything to enhance it though I liked it, but since Debi preferred it without it stays out! Now back to cleaning up my mess:-( And then get the corn bread a bakin'! Now what coffee will go good for after dinner...hmmmm...think it's gonna take something like a nice vibrant Gesha Americano which also just happens to be about peakin' at 5 days:-) Kona Konnaisseur miKe mcKoffee URL to Rosto mods, FrankenFormer, some recipes etc:http://mdmint.home.comcast.net/coffee/Rosto_mod.htmUltimately the quest for Koffee Nirvana is a solitary path.
