Does anyone know where one may get a fine cup of espresso in the south ...
in the region between New Orleans and Mobile?

Eddie…
I don’t think you could have picked a more espresso desolate region. =
Maybe
there’s a hidden Pearl(MS)… possibly a prolific puller in =
Pascagoula?
Grab a café au lait in a quality joint and have a small adventure. =
Best of
luck. Let us know what you find.

Those are good! ;-)
I really haven't cared for any of the New Orleans coffees that I have taste=
d
and chicory really isn't my thing. A friend and co-worker of mine, knowing
how much I love the elixir, suggested a local coffee for me to try because
he loved it so much. I tried and tried, but I just hated to tell him that =
I
just could not get it to produce any flavor at all.
I don't believe that I have ever had a good espresso, so that is why I am
trying to find a way to taste a truly good shot as a point of reference.
Before I invest in the equipment for such at home, it would be nice to know
what I am shooting for.
I have always enjoyed things with intense flavor, but the only point of
reference I have currently is *$ and the last time I got one there it made
the inside of my car stink! It was abominable. I have "heard" miKe talk
about Americanos, so I tried one of them, of the same vintage, and it almos=
t
made me cuss.
If anyone comes up with any suggestions, even within a few hours of the
area, I would really appreciate the recommendation. I can make it a weeken=
d
road trip on my motorcycle.
Respectfully,
Eddie

It seems like there are a few places in Gulf Shores but I can't recall any
names right now- I'll ask some family who frequent Gulf Shores/Orange
Beach. If your around Birmingham any during the trip visit OHenry's in
Homewood - it's pretty good.

Gregg,
I was in Birmingham recently ... I will note that for future reference. My
wife likes going to Gulf Shores periodically, so I would love to know about
any references in that area. I could juice up all day while her, her mother
and sisters go shopping. :-)
From where do you hail now?
