Topic: Removing the Rocky doser (5 msgs / 75 lines)
1) From: Scot Murphy
Can anyone give a step-by-step on how to remove the doser from a
Rocky? My Solis Maestro is becoming useless, and I can't use the
Rocky for large pots of coffee because of the doser. There's simply
no room underneath to put anything that can catch the grounds. Can
anyone help?

If I recall correctly, there is a good write up of removing Rocky's doser
in the archives of this list. If I was at home, I would have to URL to the
archives but I about 800 miles away.

There's plenty of room under the doser. Been using a Rocky with doser aka
Grinds Dispenser for all grinding duties for years. Simply remove the PF
fork and dispense into SS cannister, from cannister to PF or vac pot or
press pot or vac bag.... http://home.comcast.net/~mdmint/coffee/Rockycanister.htmKona Konnaisseur miKe mcKoffee

here are some pictures of the inside of my rocky as i was taking the doser
off. i've since put it back on. if i recall correctly, my model was
slightly different than described in the archives. you can see the two
large screws that hold the thing on in the pics, though.http://www.flickr.com/photos/drakejohn/sets/72057594085709214/-john
