Topic: Rocky Mod to clear leftover grounds in chute (2 msgs / 32 lines)
1) From: Chad
Just got done modding my Rocky chute so I can get the leftover grounds
out. I just drilled a hole in the chute directly straight out from where
the grounds get clogged. I can stick something in there and knock the
clogged grounds out. If you do this, the size of the hole will be
determined by what you are sticking in there, I would go as small as
possible. Mine is a little less than 1/4 inch and no grounds come out of
the hole when grinding. However, don't stick a 1/4" drill bit in and go-
I think the chute may crack if you do that. I used a small drill bit and
once I had the hole, I wiggled the bit around in there and slowly made
the hole bigger. This worked well. Also, notice that the middle of the
blue chute may not be the middle of where the grounds come out, mine
wasn't. I drilled my hole all the way on the right side of the chute.

I took a dremel and removed most of the top, leaving the sides for
support. I would guess about 1 inch square. I started with the drilled
whole and that soon became a pain. Also, make sure the grinder comes
to a complete stop or else it eats the brush, got me experience with
that!
