I know this isn't about coffee but since someone on this list
introduced me to Vegemite I thought I would pass this on:

It seems that Vegemite contains folate and FDA rules say folate can
only be added to breads and cereals.

From what I remember, the big 'craze' on vegamite was in the 80's
anyways when that song came out.
I also remember the stuff being rather evil to eat too so I was told.
This is kind of stupid in a way.... you can put it in bread, but not
something else? .. and why after all these many years, someone finally
noticed this?
This reminds me of another stupid thign that happened several years ago.
A certain brand name was selling catsup, only instead of sugar, they
were using honey to sweeten it, calling it natural or something like
that.. well the rest of the catsup makers basically sued them and won
because 'catsup' contains sugar, and not honey, so they were falsely
advertising their product, since it was technically not catsup, because
of no sugar.. but could sell it if they called imitation catsup. They
voluntarily pulled their product from the market.
Sometimes the wealth of ignorance mankind exibits is simply astounding.

Pure idiocy! Vegemite is spread *thinly* on bread. It's extremely
nutritious but it is consumed in small amounts because it tastes awful
in large amounts. I like vegemite when it's used right.
