I have an Expobar HX that pushes a lot of air. I found that by switching to
a single hole tip, instead of the stock two hole, I get more control. Most
of the commercial machines I have seen only have a single hole tip. I even
tried a three hole for a while but switched back to the single....

That's what I find, too. Milk steaming is a challenge to do
consistently well for me.
When working with small quantities of milk, it's easy to overshoot the
mark if your machine has lots of steaming power.
I'm tempted to try different steam wands/tips, but that means another
variable is thrown into the learning curve until I get accustomed to
the different equipment.
