Can't help you about the popper (using a pan on the stove for now), but
am I the only one who is NOT bothered by the glorious smell of roasting
(all the way from green - which I also think smells heavenly - to
roasted - smoke & all)?

I have a FreshRoast that does small batches - I don't know if the new
version is programmable - SM has 'em. I have used my FR for about 5
years and never a problem. Roasts fast so you have to watch it.

Lynne,
While I do vent the smoke out of the house, I love that the house fills with
all of the intoxicating roasting aromas!

Im anal about any smells in my house. My next house will have an industrial
hood over the stove for cooking. :)
