anyone buy this stuff? i just tried roasting some, and id say its, well,
regular at best. i did a 11 min roast, brought it to what i assume was a
city roast. stopping at around 410deg.

i dont know if im not roasting right for brewed coffee, or if im too used to
the 'extra' taste from espressos, especially ristrettos. brown coffee just
seems flat to me lately.

anyone have this stuff that can shed some light for me? im using a mostly
stock popper, extended with a can thats giving me some insane temp
variations, but thats another email, following this one. :)

i asked the same question last week, twice and not one reply, but i did
roast this bean, to a city roast with a four day rest, well it is good and all
but i will have to agree it's not all that. i will try roasting this again but
i will go to a fc-fc+ depends on my mood. glad i did try it though, but will
not get any more. just give me some of that dp sidamo!!!!!!!!! now that's a
great bean.

I have not yet roasted my el cipres, but would love to hear how others are
roasting it and their thoughts.
The Decaf coffees from Sweet Maria's are excellent, including the African
Highlands WP Decaf. It is that good!
I agree on the DP Sidamo.

Well, it was the first decaf I've purchased, and frankly I was a bit
skeptical. But after roasting the African Highlands, I found it ain't
no weak-kneed wannabe. This is a coffee with a chain around its waist,
thank you very much, turn your back and it'll wrestle you to the ground,
arrrrrrrrr, ye matey.
Yes, I think it's that good. Completely different than the Sidamo, but
yeah, I like it. As always, YMMV.

It is on my list to roast. The new ones have been coming so fast it
is hard to keep up! This CoE is a Cattura, so I would give it a good
4-5 day rest and take it to a nice full city roast. In my
experience, Cattura coffees don't take light roasts as well as a
Typica or Bourbon. You should be able to pull a SO shot of this
stuff. It should be good.
