Story of The Ghost Liver
I once had a wife who would periodically say should I defrost the liver or
do you want to go out to eat? I would inevitably say let's eat out. It
finally dawned on me one day in 25 years we never ate that liver yet it was
still in our freezer

Barry,
I hear you, and agree completely.
BTW, I had the best machiatto In recent memory at the coffee shop in
the Powells bookstore at Hawthorne Blvd and about 38th ST. (Portland
Or.). They are pulling Hairbender with a semi-auto La Marzocca. I
was lost while watching the pull and my lips were just forming "NOW"
when she stopped the pull at about 35 seconds - one and a half ounce.
She turned.........gave me a coquettish glance when she noticed the
smile on my mug.............understated tattoos..........tasteful
small diamond through the left nostril.....er...ah - - I left a modest
tip (for the machiatto and an 8 oz white cap for my son) when I left
the counter. Found a place to sit and shoot the bull with Jade for a
while..............Tasted the machiatto..........True Love. I dropped
a couple extra bucks in the tip jar and exchanged nods with the
barista on the way out.......sometimes words are unnecessary.

Looking forward to it.
Re: Machiatto.......It's a great bookstore also - bested only by the
Powells on Burnside (one of the true cultural icons of Portland).
