Topic: Lurker Holidaty Offering-redo (33 msgs / 842 lines)
1) From: Kevin
Going through the original lurker holiday offering thread I wasn't clear who
wanted in the drawing for a slightly used iRoast 1. If you want in the
lurker holiday offering just reply to this message indicating as such. I'll
troll through the thread between Christmas and New Years for entries, put
them on a peice of paper, crumple it up and my wife will have one of our
cats draw one at random. If it's not too hectic around the holidays I'll
ship it before New Year's. Otherwise it'll go out the 1st week of the year.

miKe,
I cannot argue with Merriam-Webster's definition of 'lurker' since they are
a venerable standard. You being one of the resident experts on the list; if
your conscience permits (setting you up for the guilt trip) you to deny the
use of an iRoast 1 to a bonafide beginner who is just starting to experience
the wonders of freshly roasted coffee and who may potentially increase their
patronage of our gracious hosts (meeting item 3 of the definition, which was
Eddie's original intent) then I will galdly include you in the drawing...or
I can leave it to the list to decide...

Kevin,

I was actually just kidding and "stirring the pot" as it were just for fun.
Then again, if you decided to include me in the drawing and I happen to be
drawn, just draw a 2nd name and I'd send them either a fully functional
Caffe' Rosto (have three, would already be split wired for potential dual
heater/fan control) OR a stock P1 (have two).

Dave,
Please send the reply to the SM homeroast thread and I'll include you in the
drawing. I'm going to go through the thread to pull out names as via the
way gmail organizes conversations as opposed to going through or keeping a
running list. Thanks!

Maybe I am a semi lurker, but I started learning about roasting coffee
and after much deliberation chose an Iroast as my first machine, but
never got one:(
Seems they were between model changes and SM was out :(
Lots of thrift stores near by...... and I learned it is more fun to
modify and invent....
So I started messing with popcorn poppers and other electric thingies..
never got a IR.
Please enter me in the drawing if you think I can qualify.

Never used any kind of commercial coffee roaster, but has roasted
several hundred pounds of coffee, here in LHC.
