The order is placed and I eagerly anticipate it's arrival. I figured I'd just start with the i-roast and go from there so I can join in the actual roasting talk and not just the cooking talk. |
Congratulations and be sure to let us know how it goes! Eddie On 12/8/06, bb wrote: <Snip> |

I went from skillet roasting to the iRoast 2. I was getting excellent results with my little skillet but I am getting better results with much less effort with the iRoast 2. I really like the iRoast as it is easy to use and the results are excellent. The roast is very even. Using the roast profiling I am able to get a flatter tasting coffee like my skillet roast or a brighter tasting coffee if that helps the bean. I did a very slow ramp up temp curve on my Ethiopian Idido Misty Valley and got strong blueberry in the cup just like I did with the skillet roast. Blake |
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. A lurker's first post! You won't be disappointed in the i-roast. It's a = real work horse that has served me well for 3 years. I've accidently = dropped and ruined two, having to buy the 3rd one I have now. Never went = kaput on their own. I'll post after while more detail on how I use it. = Gotta go cook a pizza on the grill! PAUL |
Paul, Welcome ... and how about an Off-Topic (OT) post about the pizza on the grill too! Eddie On 12/9/06, Paul Carder wrote: <Snip> |
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. Not Paul here, but "pellet head" pizzas the only way to go here. IE pizza on pizza stone into pre-heated Traeger for wood fired pizza. Way better! I use about 50f lower dome temp than I would for normal oven to give a bit more time for smoke infusion. Last year I did pizza on a Big Green Egg cooker for the first time. Very easy. Santa is bringing an Egg this year, so I can do pizza, and lots of other things, at home. cheers, Scott On 12/9/06, miKe mcKoffee wrote: <Snip> |
