Stu- thanks for a pretty good outline of the steps for manual control of the
BM's motor.
My comment would be to substitute
"Line" (Black- any colored wire is likely a Switched Line) for positive, and
"Neutral" (White- should Never be switched by itself) for negative.
I have the very meter you have, after I "gave away" a Fluke 87 and 8020B.
P0$ +, dammitt!
I like your regimen for regulating temperature. That should work fine,
especially avoiding switch contacts in the high current heater line.
It sounds like you have a very handy roaster- I have to get another like our
Oster BM. The DAK/ Welbuilts are fine bread machines and look neat with the
big glass dome. NG for coffee use though.
When you bayonet the loaf pan out of the machine, the bread loaf twists the
paddle out of its drive spindle. The baked loaf can't leak out of the hole
in the bottom of the pan. Coffee beans can...
