Dave,
Decaf coffees are fine immediately after roasting. Had some this morning to
check a batch of Costa Rican I had just roasted for the first time.

Just watch out for the bloom on the short-rest brews. I sometimes test-brew
a roast, especially if the first time for that lot, in the AeroPress, and
the cylinder can fill to the brim if done immediately after roasting. But
it does make the pressing easier :-)

I've never encountered that ... but most of my brews have been done in my
Scandi, where I wouldn't see it, unless it overflowed the filter holder. =
 It
does sound like fun though!

I've seen a lot of short-rest AP brews that when the watter hits the
grounds it looks like you poured a soda into a warm glass.
