Check your basket(s) closely to make sure no dents. But Silvia tends to
really need the PF romped tight. Seems her gaskets when new are harder than
say E61 group gaskets. At least seemed like it to me. I was hugely surprised
how little pressure is needed to lock in PF on E61 machines when going from
Silvia to Bricoletta. Same for Barry's E61 Brewtus.

Oh, also when replacing the gasket did you make sure the rough or labeled
side went up?

first not know. And in knowing know I know not. Each Personal enlightenment

Also, I recently began experiencing some water leaking at the portafilter,
so I replaced the grouphead gasket. I am still, however, getting
considerable leakage at the grouphead everytime I pull shots. Does anyone
have any ideas on what might be causing this? It just so happens that I've
got a PID and accessories under the tree waiting for me, so I'll need to
open Silvia up anyway for all this mess.

Also make sure the channel is absolutely clean after removing the old =
gasket and replacing it with the new one. If there is any dirt remaining =
in the channel the new gasket will not set right. Remove the new gasket, =
Clean the channel and replace.
