Topic: Somewhat OT: Photo: Coffee with a drop of milk (14 msgs / 243 lines)
1) From: Michael Wascher
Looking through a photo contest's site I found a shot of a drop of milk as
it hit the coffee. Slightly OT, but cool:http://www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_IDD0344--

Awesome. Wonder how many times it took to get the shot. A Nikon of
course. One of these days.....digital.

Thanks for that one ... I am amazed at how symmetrical the splash is!

Thanks for the neat picture. That is just the right amount of milk for a
cup of good homeroast!

Even that drop might be too much. It might be a picture of the coffee
ejecting the milk and sending it off to outer space...

The picture is almost surreal in how the splash from the impact is
symmetrical. My prejudice would be to assume (though I know it
would be a false assumption) that the splash would be random in
shape. It's amazing to me how much symmetry exists in nature and
physics.

As many of you have enjoyed the photo mentioned earlier, you might have a
look at http://www.stereo3dgallery.net/cgi_bin/gallery/view.cgi?username=jhart&catid=1(sorry - no coffee involved)
If you click on an individual photo, then tweak the setting below the image,
you can see it in 3D.
These are NOT my photos, but I've been doing 3D - stereoscopic photos for
30+ years.
