As an aside to my tune up story: The service tech told me that when he
contacted Rancilio about the burr carrier, they suggested he tell his
customer they should send the Rocky to the Service Center for regular
cleaning! He told them that's crazy to think somebody would spend $50 plus
shipping to perform regular maintenance. I know I was pretty careful taking
out the carrier and cannot imagine how I damaged it, but I saw it with my
own eyes when I picked it up.
