Morning,
Are there any great coffee shops in and around Monterey? I know you
had wonderful suggestions for NYC, but how 'bout the west coast now.
Thanks,
Thbull

80 miles NNE, at Emeryville is a guy named Tom. He can hook you up
with about any great bean known to man, and can pull a beverage of
almost any variety. Say nice things about skunks and monkeys while
you are there...

I'm not sure my schedule will let me get up there...I'd love to stop
by. I'm flying into San Jose, but that's not until 6pm.
Peace,

Try Carmel - I believe that they have 1 or 2 real roasters (or at least they used to).

Sorry I cannot come up with a name at this time, but there is a shop on the
SW corner of one of the old, downtown intersections which brews individual
cups of pretty good stuff. I never found good espresso in Monterey but
that's pretty rare outside my house anyway. I will be going back next
December so if you find something worth noting please post it.
thanks,

I think that was Plumes Coffe shop in Montery. Pretty decent brew.

That is Cafe Pluma, they are the best in the area. Their coffee comes from
the Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Co.

It's a sunny day here in Monterey, CA.
I'm sitting in Plumes Cafe now...yes they use Santa Cruz. They also
brew their coffee (other than espresso) using a pour-over set up!
They do have a "quick-brew' coffee of the day, but most everyone that
has come in takes the time to wait for the pour over. A VERY nice
place in Downtown Monterey.
I've had a cappuccino, and a double latte on ice. I've still got some
time before I head off to the customer....more time for coffee.
Have a great day,
Thbull 'still hoping to get to SMs' tomorrow.
