Tom has no problem with discussions of coffee or equipement from other
sources, just no blantant endorsements like go buy this here and URLS etc of
competitors.
No, I don't live in Hawaii. Just have had a bit of a fondness for Kona for
over a decade, have gotten to know some of the Kona growers, and we've
vacation there a few times.
Yes have heard of and visited Heavenly Hawaiian Estate but they aren't one
of my regulars for my purchases. Not saying their Kona isn't or can't be
good! They have good elevation and often do decently in the Kona Cupping
Competition.
Crops vary from year to year and even within the same crop year. Plus so
many variables along the way can affect the cup from bloom to cherry to
fermenting to pulping to drying to greens to storage to shipping to roasting
to cup plus steps I'm sure I've missed. Many ways for a potentially great
coffee to be destroyed. That's one reason it's so great to have someone like
Tom cupping each and every shipment of greens before he'll accept it and
offer it to us.

first not know. And in knowing know I know not. Each Personal enlightenment
found exploring the many divergent foot steps of Those who have gone before.
