That just struck me as too hilarious not to decloak. If I understood the
jist correctly SM List is sometimes the rowdy, disorderly, obnoxious overly
caffeinated home roasting forum while the home brewers are the sedate and
peaceful drunk forum:-)

FWIW the last month, heck the last six months or more, there hasn't been a
single thread that compares so some of our really GOOD brouhahas of years
past!

Hello; Newbie Newbenstein here. I haven't been here a month yet, and I can
already tell the difference between the two ypes of forums that I subscribe
to. The one that brews alcohol (Beer homebrewers) and the one that brews
caffeine (Coffee homeroasters). (Yes, the Lilboybrew nickname is from the
beer brewing days; more than ten years before I got into homeroasting.)

Anywho, maybe SM should push the decaf a little harder.

Yah, I was just kidding. You will all (hopefully) get to know me and realize
that 99% of what I type is done with a big smile on my face.
Even though I haven't been here long, I can tell that this is a really great
group. Everybody is helpful to us newbs and you all seem to know each other
so well. You're like a big family and I feel like I'm just visiting in your
home ("Is he *your* friend?" "No, I thought *you* invited him."). I just
couldn't help myself when the posts started flying, just like in a big
family at Thanksgiving.
And, to tell the truth, if you had been subscibing to
rec.crafts.brewingduring the "Schmidling Wars", you'd know that I was
misrepresenting the
homebrewers. Things can get nasty when those boys get going over whether or
not a grain mill needs to have adjustable rollers.
Larry J (Lilboybrew)....I'd like to teach the world to brew...in perfect
harmony.......

James - you should try the SM Decafs.... You thought coffee was amazing,
these are even moreso - nobody has been able to pick my decaf brew from my
regular brew. I like both, and sleep better when I drink decaf late in the
evening...

I'm not the decaff type. For night sipping I usually choose rooibos.

I guess I've been confusing the sites I read, and can't distinguish the real
meaning behind words that are written. I was laboring under the
misconception that Tom of Sweet Maria's is the final arbiter of what they
offer.
When he cups a coffee that he cannot pass up, he doesn't. They stand on
their coffee excellence alone. Note that there is no Free* Coffee Roaster
with 12 pound purchase of selected green coffee beans.
*Just pay Shipping and Handling- the Roaster is a hair dryer with a 240 volt
plug. With a rating of 1800 watts at 120 volts, it'll do 7200 watts at 240v.
First Crack will also be its Last Crack, not to be missed with its flashing
blue signal light.
