Just roasted some today.. my roaster is not bothered by chaff, and I did
not notice an extreme amount. Only roasted 422 Gr though.
It roasts about the same as horse, in other words I noticed the same
reactions through the roast. Cracks at about the same place and smoke also.
Lots of smoke, but that could be the chaff burning off.
Only found two beans in that batch that were a bit lighter than all the
others!
Very nice even roast.
No oil :)
Had to brew a cup.
Weighed out 35 gr for my 16 oz cup, and brewed it in a french press.
About 3/4 full gives me a cup :)
As usual, I tried it without cream and sugar. Always use cream and lots
of sugar, although the doc is finally telling me I should cut back.
Hey, this is good stuff!
Plain!
I may start drinking coffee black!
Not to be deterred, I added my cream and sugar.
Gosh, the cream hardly changes the color! Perhaps I mis weighed???
Must have. Sugar did not change the taste much either. Still great! Nice
lingering aftertaste. FOR A LONNNNGGGG Time.
Wow.
Not sure if this is going to be our standard coffee for this house.
Will know better tomorrow when we brew for the morning, and Charlotte
gets to judge.
For me though, it is better than the horse I have a stash of.
