Topic: Chaff and taste? (2 msgs / 37 lines)

Here is a newbie question. I notice that when roasting with my
Genecaf, some beans release lots of chaff, and it is difficult to
remove all of it from the roasted beans. Does the removal or not
affect flavor? I am roasting exclusively for espresso.

If you'll search the list archives, there is info on this. To sum up
what I recall of it: Others here have tried making a tea out of
collected chaff and they report almost no flavor at all. Thus the
results indicate that a little chaff doesn't matter.
