Topic: Food Safe Sealant (2 msgs / 18 lines)
1) From: Howell Ite
Hi. I have been lurking for quite a while trying to soak up as much information as possible. I have a Mazzer Mini grinder with a doser and grinds have been sneaking behind the clear plastic insert. I think some even escapes the grinder through the large windows in the metal frame. I would like to seal around the top and bottom of the plastic insert to prevent this from happening. Has anybody tried this? Does anybody know where I can purchase food safe sealant? Would aquariam sealant be safe? I tried to search the internet to see if it is considered food safe since it is non-toxic but could not find any information. It seems like it would be ok since the coffee grinds are dry and the sealant is dry and non-toxic.

I will bet that aquarium cement is safe, but do not know about the
effectiveness of sealing a grinder. Disassembly may be more difficult after
sealing.
