I have never been a tea drinker, Hot iced however. My wife has been
drinking Chai and has me drinking an ocasional cup as well, sipping a
Chai Latte right now in fact. Anyone else cheat on their coffee from
time to time?

Green with Jasmine or a Green Tea Chai with Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cloves
and Black pepper. What cheat? -ro

i drink iced chai lattes all the time. beware some chai though (oregon
chai comes to mind). if not fresh they can taste like an ashtray or
charro beans w/ too much cilantro. others (tazo) turn sickeningly sweet
when they stale.

I do, much moreso now than before. But like coffee I am a purist when it
comes to tea. No sugar, milk, or any flavorings are needed. Good loose teas
are not much more expensive than grocery store teabags. Start with Upton,http://www.uptontea.com/they have a wide selection of inexpensive teas of
all kinds. Buy a few 4 oz bags and an armload of samples. I am not an
expert, but can offer more specific help off list.

Not a fan of milky tea, though I will drink masala tea if it's
offered. I like my teas clear and unsweetened (though some fruit or
floral flavors are okay): oolong, genmai cha, gunpowder or dragon
well green, jasmine, Earl Grey or Pike Place Market Orange Spice.

TRAITOR!!!! Just kidding! I actually enjoy a cup from time to time.
My wife and daughter love only good teas (like me and my coffee) so I
really do enjoy what they have to offer.

I get my teas from a variety of sources: Republic of Tea, Peet's,
Ten Ren, Pike Place Market Coffee, even Tour D'Argent; and a friend
was shocked that I did not have any proper Irish teabags, so he
brought me a box of Lyons from Dublin. I do prefer mostly loose tea,
in a nylon mesh mug insert or a teapot. My masala tea came from the
kitchen of an Indian friend.

I enjoy tea on occasion - esp. on cold, cloudy winter afternoons. Think it
takes me back to when I was a teen - w/my mom it was coffee in the morning,
and a cup of tea in the afternoon. We'd have a cup of tea & Stella Dora
cookies when I came home from school (that's when I was skinny, lol).
A few yrs ago I was making my own Chai. Got some really good recipes on line
- to this day I can't drink any premade Chai. What a difference!
I carried on the coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon tradition,
until, that is, I found SM and their decafs. Then it became a cup of coffee
in the morning, a cup midmorning, a cup of decaf in the afternoon, a cup of
decaf later in the afternoon.... The 'trouble' (ha!) is, when one discovers
that sweet, delish brew that comes out so perfect, it calls out to you...

In the hottest part of the summer, coffee sometimes just doesn't appeal
to me; or sometimes I want a brewed beverage lower in caffeine; or
sometimes I just crave something different and I'll have a cup of tea. I
mainly like Assam tea (just like with coffee, I like deep, rich body).
Unlike coffee, I do take it with sugar, and sometimes milk. I have bought
from a local cooking shop, but mostly I buy from Upton's.
