Glorious City+ roast. I know it's my first – nothing out of the iR2 or FR8 looked like this! Before it was Full City and then some. Another hit from the BM/HG process. If I keep this up I'll have roasted my entire stash :). How many days should I rest this Misty Valley? I know I'll have some tomorrow morning (won't be able to wait) but I'll have two more pots of it. I guess one pot each day to see how it changes. I've been dumping it into a large metal strainer, spritzing it with a fine mist of water (twice, shaking it inbetween), and then putting the strainer into my freezer for a few minutes. Is this a good way to cool the beans? I'm not doing a large amount (<300g). I don't have a good way to set up a fan. I have an open patio and everything has to be hauled out for every roast I do (no cover). Now that it's winter it's not too much of a problem but once the weather warms up I'll have to see if this still works. The water spritz idea I got from Kenneth Davids book on Home Roasting.
