Thanks to good homeroast, specifically Costa Rica La Magnolia at City+, I
was able to stay awake for most of the Soupor Bowl today. Watching rain in
Florida is sleep-inducing, and the quality of the game didn't help much.
The commercials were pretty weak as well, though a few told me to appreciate
life by partaking in beer or coke (oops, Coke), several suggested that
violent behavior sells products, and there was that guy with a symbol for a
name (no, not a deity) princing around on a stage surrounded by adoring fans
brought in for the occasion. I noticed that one team actually had a
quarterback, and that seemed to contribute to their winning the contest, so
I s'pose all's well that ends. Well, now I think some Full City Mexico
Chiapas Decaf is about ready for the cup, so so long ... zzzzzzz ...
Larry
P.S. I missed the first Kona batch this year - had hoped the Mountain
Thunder would be ready in time for the ProBowl in Oahu, but that's this
coming Saturday ... guess not.
