Topic: Yemeni Mokha Mattari FC+ - wow! (3 msgs / 56 lines)

I roasted my first match of the Yemeni Mokha Mattari FC+ from SM,
trying for a Full City+ roast as recommended. I think I got pretty
close - just a bit into the second crack, dark brown beans with a few
spots of oil showing after a 12 hour rest. I brought it to the office
is and brewed it in the drip pot here and it was really exceptional!
Very unusual flavor - licorice and spices. I highly recommend trying
this one! I'm expecting this will make a great cup of Turkish coffee
this weekend.

I am on my second roast of this one. Second crack is very quiet, so
the first roast (Monday) went a bit darker than I wanted. I did
another roast Wednesday to see if I could go a bit lighter. My first
thought this morning with the Wednesday batch was that this stuff
will rock in an ibrik. Neither roast is showing much, if any, oil at
this point. I am tempted to see how light I can take it before
hitting the baggy notes described in the review.
