Has anyone used one of these for roasting coffee? I saw some drumd for them and thought I might give it a try.
This question, or variations on it with different appliances, comes up fairly often, Patrick. For a more complete discussion, you may want to check the archives, but the general consensus is that they really don't get hot enough to do a decent job roasting coffee, and that the end result is baked, and not worth drinking. vicki Patrick S. I will check them out, should have done that first but it is Saturday morning and my brain is fired from a long week. sounded too easy anyway. I figured it worked well I would hear about it more on here
i can tell you from experience they are junk, not the cooker rotisserie itself just the idera of using it to roast coffee. My brother inlaw bought a george foreman rotis and a roasting drum from the guy who sells them on ebay and after 1+ hours no 1st crack it just baked the hell out of them, he modded his with another hot plate element fixed in the bottomof the foreman and now with double elements still nowhere near as good as my stircrazy/to <Snip> them <Snip> unsvbscribes) go tohttp://sweetmarias.com/maillistinfo.html#personalsettings
