Announcing the world's worst espresso shot, pulled this morning in a
kitchen in Central Alberta by a smarty pants who was so busy doing the
happy dance celebrating her smooth (and relatively mess free)
dispersion, levelling, and tamping that actually locking the portafilter
handle in place seemed immaterial.
Unfortunately, as there were no witnesses, this feat will NOT be
included in the next Guinness Book of World Records.

Vicki,
If your worst is worse than my worst, you do indeed deserve to be in the =
next
Guinness Book of World Records :) !
Dave (humbled but proud of accomplishment)
BTW, this afternoon I will be attempting a new world record.

Each one of us, perhaps a few will not, can report the "shit shot"; actually most likely multiple s-shots...
Could very well be your taste buds (yes, I said TASTE buds) were off and it was
really a god shot.
Do not let this get you dowm, ever.

Mine was not a shot, rather a very bad popper session - burnt the beans
until fire, smoked the neighborhood, pulled it into the kitchen to dump in
the sink, watered down the fire, and hit the garbage disposal.... Smokey
house, messy kitchen, jammed garbage disposal for 8 hours, and realized this
is not as it all should be...
Vicki, you're doing just fine...

By the tone of your email, you haven't tried the espresso symposium - the
day (if youre smart, don't try this in the evening like I did), where you
pull 12-15 shots in a row in hopes to fine tune your barista skills against
the new machine.
:D
