Ken, I have to agree with you on the CoE choices being great but the no
brainer part. Well, when some of them have a price tag of 30 bucks a
pound or whatever. I remember one trio that went 3 lbs for $100... then
it becomes a choice of, how much am I willing to spend on coffee. Trust
me, the no brainers can cause the most thought about ordering.... taste
wise, no brainer, pocketbook wise, umm brain might be taken out of
hibernation and put to use.

I know what you mean, Aaron. I seldom buy coffee that's up in the Kona pric=
e range because of the psychological impression that 33.00 per pound is exp=
ensive. On the other hand, a pound of coffee at $33/lb yields about 57 five=
-ounce cups (based on 8 grams per cup) costing about $.58 each. Try to pour=
yourself a glass of wine for 58 cents -- or even bottled water.

58 cents a glass, I don't think even boones farm, thunderbird, night
train, mad dawg or bum piss express can beat that price. Even the
horrid lighter fluid my mom drinks that comes in a box is probably
higher than that. Agreed, it's all in perspective, but when you compare
that 58 cent a glass to a 5 or 6 buck a pound that is what 11 cents a
glass; it puts another spin on the perspective.
Still though, when you think folks will pay upwards of 10 dollars for 12
ounces of burnt beans from starbucks, our 'higher end' but not
'specialtys' that might hit 7 a pound are still a superior grab.

But then, I always have the fear that I'm going to ruin a batch of beans...
hence, I STILL haven't roasted the bit of Gesha I have in my (traditional
offering) stash...

Bum Piss may actualy cost less than 58 cents, but you can get it in
Large, Grande and Venti for a higher price...
