Having used a Silvia sans PID for 2&1/2 years then another year with PID
before upgrading IF surf and wait was the only viable HX temp management
method I NEVER would have gotten the Bricoletta. No way in Hades was I
reverting to counting and waiting to pull shots EVER again!!!
OTH flush-n-go method is quite different than having to sit and up count
waiting to pull a shot every time. IE flush to end of flash which will be
about 206f then addition one one-thousand count(s) each lowering ~1f to
desired temp and immediately lock and pull. This is after HX cooling flush
from idle, but only when from idle. Doing a series of shots simply
flush-n-go for each shot after the first. Oh, and with Eric's E-61 temp
adapter no longer even have to listen for the flash or count so no longer a
hassle entertaining and talking and pulling shots and attempting to
simultaneously listen to the flash then count, just flush watching the
displayed temp lock and pull.

miKe,
Please tell us more about this adapter. How does it hook up? The E-61 has
a port with a set screw filling it near the top. Does it go in that
opening? Where do you get it? What does it cost? What kind of display do
you need to hook it up? This sounds like something I would like. I go by
the sound like you used to, but sometimes I can't tell when the sputtering
has ended.

Yup almost, I didn't want TC wires running out of the front of the Bric's
group so went with this:http://users.rcn.com/erics/Digital%20Thermometer%20Files/Also since Eric has/had been keeping this somewhat on the QT had responded
to Mike (Chester) off List with the info'. Per Mike C. apparently Eric is
currently out of parts to make more at this time.

Ah he finally made one of those?! We were talking about it sometime last
year. His adapter plus a shortened thermometer seemed to be the ideal idea
to me. Glad he made em.
So, how close is the sputtering technique to actual temps? :)
