Topic: coffee grounds in espresso (4 msgs / 48 lines)
1) From: Brandon Kolbe
Hello All,
I have a friend that is getting coffee grounds in his espresso. Are
there some basic causes of this? He has a Saeco Espresso machine. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Have a terrific day,
Brandon

my guess is he is not pulling the portafilter tight enough and getting some grounds spilling over it' top. or he is not cleaning off the egde pf the portafilter before putting it in the machine.

If grinds are coming out of the basket so easily, then tamping,
dosing, or grinding are also places to look. Might also consider the
group gasket.
