Topic: Another Brewing Pressure Gauge Question (2 msgs / 35 lines)
1) From: HarleyNew LoRyder
Hello-
I have experienced the fluction on the brew gauge as well. However lately
the gauge is not responding at all when I pull a shot. I have seen it with
pressure after the machine is on for awhile. The gauge immediately drops to
zero when I do the cooling flush. Could this be a mineral build up?

It does describe one of the symptoms of a mineral build up in the syphon tube. They are a favorite spot
for crud to collect and it will do what you describe. It is also possible that the gear has lost several of its
teeth inside the gauge from the constant pulsations over time. The only good news is that there are
only two parts to check. Blow out the connecting tube (syphon). If that does not fix it then it is probably
the gauge.
