Today I had 20% Java Prince/30% Brazil Screen-Dried Moreninha Formosa (I
just saw he's out of this already!)/50% Yemen Mokha Mattari FC+. What a
nice blend. The winey berry that the Brazil and Yemen have complement
each other well. The Java adds a touch of tobacco complementing the
Brazil in that way, tones down the wildness a bit and adds even more
body although those two don't need it.
I couldn't play with the percentages because that's the last of this
roast of the Brazil but I'd probably go 35-40% Brazil.
I like it enough that I'll probably do it as a pre-roast blend just to
the first snap of second if possible.

Jeff,
I have the Brazil and the Yemen, but not the Prince. What would be a good
substitute? Djampit? Timor?
By the way ... last night while cleaning up some things ... I ran across a
newspaper article (from some time ago) with your picture. Great to put a
face to a name.

I think Djampit would work fine. I've used that too with similar beans.
I was also wondering if it would work well without the Java.

Just be aware that hair lines look much higher in pictures than reality.
