Hi Rudy and Y'all
I'm Mark B. from Midland, NC and for a knockbox that would look =
good on that corian top.
I'd take a 6"x6" block of some good looking wood about 7" long. Cut 1" =
off the top, chuck the rest of the block
in a lathe chuck and bore a 3" hole to within 1" or so of the bottom, =
cut 2" off the bottom for a stand when
it's out of the corian hole, I'd taper the bottom of the now middle =
piece to match the taper of the hole in the corian.
I'd then chuck the top and turn a 3" diameter spigot 1/2 " long on the =
bottom so it fit on the middle like a lid.
I'd then chuck the bottom and bore the bottom hole wider to fit the =
taper on the middle piece so when the
knockbox is not in use you can stack the block back together. Sand all =
the pieces and finish the outside as you
like but I'd finish the inside with something slick like a clear gloss =
or shellac.
Mark B.
My FR+8 slightly modified but due for a rewiring can be seen at =http://bellsouthpwp.net/h/s/hsbart/elleamandas/projects/coffee/coffee.htm

Hi Mark:
Your idea for the hole to fit is kind of what I was trying to say. Good idea for whole box.
Thanks for posting and thanks very much for posting your coffee link; I find it super to see what others have done with their coffee setups. Looks great.
regards,
ginny
