Topic: Incredible Cup! (10 msgs / 173 lines)
1) From: Lynne Biziewski
I just roasted two batches tonight (still working off of my traditional
winnings from last year!!) One was a tiny bit of Bolivia de Montana (didn't
know I had any left - my first 'favorite,' ever since I got some in my very
first sampler pack).
The other was a good portion of Colombia Huila Los Idolos de Bellovista. Had
to grind some up & have a cup of this, even though it's late afternoon - no,
wait, it's evening already. The city Health Inspector was here for a second
visit to check on code violations, some of which my landlord is refusing to
correct... (did I say this move to my 'new' apt was going to be a good
move??!!! HA!)
ANYway - you know when you take a sip of homeroast, and the flavor is JUST
what a cup of coffee is supposed to taste like ?? And before you even taste
it, you know it's going to be great because the aroma is so blessed
HEAVENLY??
Well, this is it. I wish I could make a giant portion to share with all my
SM buddies!!
Wow. I thought I ruined the batch, too - hopefully it'll be as good after a
rest.
mmmm-

Darn, Lynn. I had just decided it's too late in the day for me to be =
drinking coffee, but I roasted a batch of CR Plp naturel La Candelilla =
today. I also roasted a big batch of Komodo blend decaf. Maybe a little =
blend of the two wouldn't be too bad...

I ran out of decaf - I have a job possibility, and believe me, if I get this
- I'll be calling out to Harvey!
BUT - in the meantime, I can't stop thinking about this cuppa. Wow.
Incredible - sweet... wish I had the words to describe it.
Just perfect.

good to see i am not the only one ;) I had to sample a little of the Brazil
Brauna Flatbean that I thought I wrecked. It came out pretty good but
tastes as if might make a better espresso (went a little darker than i
should have)

You wouldn't believe how I did this - put too much in the pan, and poured
out more than half before I thought it was done. Continued with the rest -
roasted it too dark for me. Smoke alarm went off, had to pick up my little
chihuahua mix who now is terrified everytime I cook anything on top of the
stove. So... I decided to just mix the two.. hoping it is still as good
later.

Yes, I hope so too. Ddn't try the it this morning (my poor little Border
Collie, Emma, had another seizure in the early a.m. - so that took over
everything).
I speak the name 'Bolivia' with much love in my voice!

I'm having another cup of the Colombia this evening, after a long, long day
- but, sad to say, I'm not duplicating yesterday's cup. Oh, it's good, and
if I didn't have the one yesterday, I would have said that it's great.
Now I'm spoiled - but I guess that's part of the slippery slope... the Ever
Illusive Cuppa Perfect!
