I hope Emma's all right. Is her condition something they can do
something about or just something she has to live with?

Thank you so much for your concern!
Well, the first time it happened was last summer. We really freaked out - I
moved a few towns over since then, but I was a good distance from Boston at
the time. It was 10 at night & I made it to Angel Memorial in Boston in 1/2
hr - unheard of (I didn't kill anyone on the way!!!) That was about half as
long as it would normally have taken.
So they saved her life, but I have something like a $4000 bill I prob will
never be able to pay (and they won't see her again due to the bill). Well, I
don't have any money now anyway - waiting for SSI, applied for jobs (as back
up) and am involved with a messy fight w/my landlord due to code violations.
Anyway, I've read up all I can (oh, they never could give me a REASON why
she had the seizures... just wanted to put her on meds & give her
prescription foods that cost a fortune & almost killed my other dog.
The short of it is that I think she has a thyroid problem & intend to have
her tested asap. My daughter is going to pay for it.
In the meantime I cook my dogs' food - and pray!
Lynne (she really is the sweetest dog...so gentle...and was abused before we
got her.)

I am having my second wonderful cup of the Bolivia this morning.
Unfortunately, this is after my poor Emma had yet another seizure.
Same thing happened as yesterday - I got up to go to the bathroom (this is
before 5 am), and I returned to find my daughter w/Emma, telling me she was
having another seizure. (I told my kid that she is going to make a great mom
someday - she wakes up from the next room when she hears her thrashing in a
seizure!!!
From now on, I take my Emma w/me when I go to the bathroom...
Fortunately, it was shorter this time... I'm so tired but I want to stay
awake to watch her. Guess I can't avoid sleep forever...
Lynne
