Topic: Tea roasting technique (3 msgs / 42 lines)

Coffee is much easier to roast, and even the most expensive coffee is a
bargain!http://www.amazing-green-tea.com/green-tea-and-dragonwell.htmlA Chinese man paid $14,000 for a 200 grams of a tea. And the leaves are
roasted by hand, in hot woks, using only the hands. It's no wonder that the
best roasters can manage only 500 grams a day!
It's a technique I won't be trying with coffee beans.

Dude got robbed. That's like 76 20# bags of Idido Misty Valley with Next
Day shipping (1500+ lbs). Or 193 Harvey orders full (well over a ton).
Cloth bag extra.

Seems a very wise Chinese man! Does anyone, perchance, have his
address? I have some Lipton's I would like to unload...
