Topic: OT Pregnant (yay!) and off coffee (alas!) (2 msgs / 102 lines)
1) From: L. Michael Fraley, MD
Hey Ann,
I have the smell thing going on too. I can smell things in people's
pockets, what they had for supper the evening before (maybe it is in
their sweat?) And you are right... as a medical person, this is not
often a blessing. Nice for when one wants to appreciate the smells
associated with coffee, though.

Congrats, Kris. I know about the smell thing. In my normal life, I
can smell a piece of chocolate candy in someon's pocket more than 10
feet away. Not much of an advantage for a nurse who is exposed to all
kinds of smells. When I was pregnant, I couldn't stand the smell or
taste of tacos which I ordinarily love...until the night I went into
labor and then had a craving for them! I couldn't do lemonade either,
not from smell, but the heartburn was intolerable. Never have had
heartburn since.
Take care,
Ann

HA HA! I kind of made it sound like they carry their leftover supper
in their pockets. But... I think you all know what I meant! :-P
