link provided:-) FWIW on my phone you can set the location mode to always on
or only during 911 call.

Does you no good if you get lost or break down with no internet  
access.  And the location mode on my phone and my passenger's phone  
did not work when I blew a tire enroute to Madison (somewhere bet.  
Janesville and Milton) along I-39/90:  neither Sprint (my carrier), T- 
Mobile (my passenger's), GEICO nor the WI State Police could  
triangulate the signals--so I would assume that none of these  
entities had access to that website. (GEICO and the cops sent out a  
tag-teamed tow truck and squad car north from Beloit to cruise the  
freeway till they found us--it was pitch black, there were no signs,  
landmarks, nor mile markers within visibility and it was unsafe to  
get out of the car and walk because of all the trucks zooming by at  
70-80 mph.
