Seriously?

I think this is a belated April Fool Joke. You have to install a wireless
TiSp wireless spooler into your COMMODE!!! Thanks. I'll pass.

One of these days I'll learn to click the link so I can see the joke. I
didn't fall for the Kraft/SM buyout, but swallowed the hook on this one.

I saw this on April Fool's Day, and had intended to post the link - but the
delay was PERFECT - made people suspect less!
Funny.

Hey Larry,
Did you go to the link and read about it. The catch is.... well..

I can already see some foul situations with this service. People will start
probing their next door neighbor's TiSP service via inter-toilet
interdictions. They will be tapping into crap that's none of their business
and being a pain in the ass. You'll be on the internet when low and behold,
who pops up...little Johnny from next door wanting you to link your crap to
his. There will be widespread security holes being breached along with
wrongful use of gaswords, etc, etc.

There was a company that actually did this:http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2007/Apr/01/googles_toilet_isp_not_so_far_fetched.html.They did well enough to be bought by another company. I found an Indian blog
about it, they use the sewer system to route networks too:http://www.vinnylingham.com/2007/04/massive-google-blunder-seriously-read-this.html.
So if you got taken by Google's joke, you shouldn't feel bad about it. The
joke's on them!

Sorry Larry, it was more of a reminder that we as a list tend to opine, and
occasionally research (myself included)... Tons of great information out
here, but the new Google offering? Well it's really incredible how much
they have invaded the home...
On another note, back in 1990, some friends of mine and I founded a company
called Focus Automation. We ran Arcnet for our Novell network. This means
that you have a roughly 200 foot network. One of our nodes was not on the
4th floor with us, rather it was in the lobby, a reception desk. We were
not allowed to run cable down through the conduit. So we improvised by
stripping the coax about 24 inches, wrapping it around the building's water
pipe on the 4th floor, and taping with electrical tape. We did the same on
the first floor, and had a solid connection for the year we were in that

I'm impressed, Brett! As a veteran of many an all-nighter in some paper
mill, steel mill, etc., in some outpost in the boondocks, I can relate and
appreciate the ingenuity involved. Solving problems with whatever is on hand
is a good skill to have.

 Ingenuity!!!! I LOVE IT!

On another note, back in 1990, some friends of mine and I
founded a company called Focus Automation. We ran Arcnet for our Novell
network. This means that you have a roughly 200 foot network. One of
our nodes was not on the 4th floor with us, rather it was in the lobby,
a reception desk. We were not allowed to run cable down through the
conduit. So we improvised by stripping the coax about 24 inches,
wrapping it around the building's water pipe on the 4th floor, and
taping with electrical tape. We did the same on the first floor, and
had a solid connection for the year we were in that building! I was the
VP of Technology for the company, and that was one of our better
moments!

Thanks Larry...
On a much more important note, I went camping with my beans, but forgot my
grinder... Took a few minutes to figure out a method. I finally resorted
to crushing the beans in a skillet using the bottom of a steel coffee cup,
careful not to dent it... Another nice coarse grind - but some fines....
