I am tempted to say that this is a sign from G-d that one has too
much money; but it actually might be a halfway decent piston machine
(unless the shift lever is there solely for show). If it is, or if
it's a good HX, then the price is only a little steep--and actually a
drop in the bucket for someone who is flush enough (puns intended) to
own a Lamborghini. If it's a dual boiler, and a decent one, the
price is in the ballpark. The cosmetics are a little silly, IMHO.
But if one's cars are as important to them as their coffee (and they
are connoisseurs of both).........

Interestingly, despite the huge price tag and fine finish, the only way to
make espresso with this machine is by using pre-ground coffee in
single-use "pods." These are sort of like the Easy Mac of espresso.

So, "It never ceases to amaze me what people will spend their money on... "
(Ending a sentence with a preposition is something about which Winston
Churchill had a comment...)
Did you watch Black Gold on PBS last night?
If one editorial dollar is spent on an Ethiopian coffee bean, it seemed
clear that the Ethiopian farmer / family gets a gratuitous "Attaboy" for
their efforts.
That farmer gets more for his funny dandelions than he does for his finicky
coffee crop-
finicky, as in: 1 fussy. 2 excessively detailed-
The coffee shrubs were being uprooted to make way for the funny dandelions.
Ethiopian coffees come only from one place, and it's a stretch of credulity
to believe the Ethiopians desire to supply us with coffee and lose money
doing so, instead of growing something else for a much higher reward.
The Invisible Hand will take the coffee out of yours. Soon enough, an
enlightened Starbucks will encourage the funny weeds and close the door to
people outside their Corporate coop. People will spend their money
on... Starbucks, done their way.
I don't know what Lamborghini models are sold in this country. They have to
pass a crashworthiness test and have airbags so brain donors can't hurt
themselves in one.
The new Lamborghini owner might also consider the purchase of a section of
property adjoining 66 so he might avoid the rif raf on their first solo
drive under the influence of the odd dandelions.
An espresso machine that gave you the feel of going through the esses at an
SCCA event while pulling a shot would be priceless. Or you can savor a *$.
They'll push the button for you.
The lever machines will soon be sick birds. Someone will burn themselves on
one. Motorcycles will have training wheels.

I looked up "Hoon" on Dictionary.com and it is listed as a "jeer".
I'm trying to make the connection, here...

Probably referring to this definition:
"Hoon is an Australian and New Zealand colloquial term applied to
individuals who typically drive fast and dangerously."
"The term "Hoon" was first used in Australia at the turn of the 20th
century. Its origin is currently unknown but is widely believed to be a
shortened form of "hooligan" In more recent times it has been used to
describe any young male or female who drives in a manner which is
anti-social towards the standards of modern day society in what are usually
heavily modified vehicles of Japanese or Australian origin."http://home.comcast.net/~mckona/PNWGV.htmKona Kurmudgeon miKe mcKoffee">http://www.reference.com/search?q=hoonPacific Northwest Gathering Vhttp://home.comcast.net/~mckona/PNWGV.htmKona Kurmudgeon miKe mcKoffee

Seems like a waste of resources... What a shame.
Now if they made a Porsche 928s version, I would believe entirely
differently on the subject. What great art Salvatore does, both form and
function!
