Topic: Update: Update on my Hottop woes (8 msgs / 188 lines)
1) From: L. Michael Fraley, MD
I did all the tests on my Hottop (you will recall that it just died one
day at the ejection phase of a roast) and could not figure what it was.
Michael (from Hottop USA even sent a new fusible link to me, and that
did not work.) He is sending a new panel and new computer board now
for me to install. He offered to allow me to send it back for this,
but I can do it myself, so he is sending it priority mail. Should have
it tomorrow or the next day. The service from Hottop is very good.
They are always eager to help out.
So, hopefully, I will have it up and running soon, and can start more
experimenting with profiles. I miss it. Have been roasting with my
iRoast2, and it tends to get away from me and roast darker than I want,
if I am not careful. I had forgotten how fast it roasts.

Try Indio Misty valley using Garcia's second program when you get it

Michael, best of luck. Like you I have found the Hottop customer service
hard to beat. I hope we never lose Michael at Hottop :-).

I wish you luck with this - I've had my hottop two years now, and other than
the weird rubbing sound from the heating element (fixed by gently pushing
back into place), I haven't had any trouble (going to go knock on wood now).
