Topic: Trosser? Zass? was Re: +Coffee? (4 msgs / 74 lines)

The first and third look like Trossers - should be good. The second looks
like a knock-off, and I wouldn't touch it personally, excelt as fuel for my
BBQ. I have a Trosser under repair, and have given another as a gift that
is working well today...
Best regards...
Brett

as i mention further down this post, i just won a Trosser, so if anyone
else wants to bid on either of these it won't hurt my feelings. if not,
and i win them, i'll just keep them all set for different brew methods.
Brett, you'd probably be the best to answer this, do you think these
could be Trosser or Zass grinders?

thanks. i can't wait to try total gradient (stepless) grinding range
(although my *$ barista grinder w/ maestro upgrade kit AND finer grind
mod AND my semi-stepless-in-espresso-range mod (cut between holes where
the ball bearing stops) has been yielding very good shots so far-i'll
get around to posting the mods on homeroasters.org someday). as for the
first and second, i've seen lesser hand grinders go for more this
weekend, so i'm hoping i'll be outbid on the second at least (not sure
why i bid on either instead of just watching on my ebay, but it did work
out in my favor for the third, overslept this morning, missed end of
auction and woke up to a Trosser won for the starting bid).

i'm not trying to be outbid on this one (i've already been outbid and
already won the one i really wanted), but if anyone's interested, here's
another that looks like the first one i posted (in the description it
says this one's #140 as well).
