Topic: All time best- First, second, tie for third (5 msgs / 121 lines)
1) From: jim jordan
G'day all- I have been in a lurk mode for the past few years, figured its time to break the silence.
1. The best coffee I have received from SM ever is the Isle of St. Helena , any plot, back in the good old days. No question.
2. The second best is a good year with the Kowali Blue Mountain and this is a good year.
3. Lots tied for third. Geisha, Iskandar triple pick, Kona, some Columbians and Panamas, PNG. If I absolutely had to pick one, I would pick the Panama Carmen Estate. Or maybe the Geisha

Anyone agree, disagree or have a better list??

Fondly Jim J

WELCOME Jim!
We're glad you're here! I am a ColombiaNut myself, but also love several of
my African single origins....
Thanks for offering a list - I am sot as disciplined, but certainly respect
the many who are and who do provide lists for the rest of us...

hmmm... one origin country has eclipsed all others to date...
1. Ethiopia FTO Sidamo DP
2. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Moledina 3993-this one got rave reviews from
everyone who tried it, esp. in the FRENCH press-a coworker went so far
as to say, "this makes me want to touch myself"
3. Ethiopia Organic Idido Misty Valley
also worth mentioning: Mexico FTO Chiapas-Special Lot (even my
girlfriend-not much of a coffee drinker-got the mango and pear),
Nicaragua Limoncillo Estate Var. Java (LOVED the hints of lime and
mint), Bolivia Organic Peaberry de Montana (smoooooth), Congo Kivu
Peaberry (took a while to figure out the roast/rest for this one but now
i'm really missing this coffee!)
