Topic: Fresh Timor Maubesse coarsely ground for an FP => Liquid Candy! (44 lines)
1) From: David Morgenlender
I am currently drinking an unbelievable mug of Timor FTO Maubesse. I =
wasn't
going to roast this bean today, but I really wanted something I could =
drink
without much rest. Then I remembered that on Brett's Rest thread on
homeroasters.org Eddie Dove reported on this bean roasted to FC+ then =
brewed
straight out of the roaster: "Right out of the roaster this coffee has =
silky
body and butterscotch flavor, excellent. After some rest, one can enjoy =
its mild
Indonesian heritage in a silky, full-bodied coffee." That sure sounded =
good
enough for me, so I decided to try it. Also, I used Brett's suggestion =
for
French Press: coarse (set Rocky to +51) & brew for 4 minutes.
Eddie's description hits the nail on the head ... silky & butterscotch! =
This
is probably the most extreme case of a cup not needing any milk or =
anything else
added that I've encountered in my short homeroasting experience. I =
wouldn't
want to adulterate this liquid candy!
Thanks Eddie & Brett for those suggestions!
